The View

The View rocketed on to the UK music scene in the mid noughties, fresh faced and ready for Rock’n’Roll, immediately earning comparisons to contemporaries like The Libertines and The Courteeners. With ramshackle charm, along with tunes to conquer indie charts and hearts, they quickly catapulted to number one with their debut album ‘Hats Off To The Buskers’.

One of the biggest albums of 2007, it went platinum selling over 300,000 copies and earning the four school friends from Dundee a Mercury Prize nomination. ‘Hats Off To Buskers’ also took The View into the singles charts with the #3 smash and instant indie classic ‘Same Jeans’ plus the Top 20 hits ‘Wasted Little DJs’ and ‘Superstar Tradesman’.

As their star continued to rise nationally, The View took home the gong for Best Track in 2007 at the NME Awards for ‘Wasted Little DJ’s’.
