• TICKETS – Please print your e-tickets (printed or downloaded to your mobile phone) and bring them to the festival each day to be scanned. 

• CARD – All Bars, Traders & Funfair rides will be completely cashless and will only accept card or contactless payments. Please note: There will be no cash machines at the festival. 

• ID – If you are 15 or under you will not be allowed entry into the festival without a responsible adult (21+). Anyone 16 or over is welcome to attend the festival on their own. We accept the following forms of ID to enter the festival: Your current passport, Your UK Driver’s Licence or Provisional Licence, Citizen Card. We cannot accept other forms of ID.
  Photocopies will be accepted to gain entry to the festival, but the original document will have to be shown to purchase alcohol.
  We operate a strict ‘Challenge 25’ policy at all bars. Passport, Driver’s Licence, Validate UK or Citizen Card are accepted.  

• REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE – Remember to keep hydrated. There are plenty of water points inside the festival. You are welcome to bring your own refillable water bottle; please make sure it is empty on your arrival to the festival. Alternatively, you can bring a sealed 500ml water bottle. 

• SUITABLE CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR – Please check the forecast and dress suitably for the weather.

• BAGS – WE ADVISE YOU NOT TO BRING BAGS – If absolutely necessary, ensure they are no larger than an A4 piece of paper. Please understand that bringing a bag will lead you to experience increased queueing time. Expect to be searched. 

• FOOD/DRINK – No food or drink is permitted (unless it’s a sealed 500ml water bottle, for specific dietary requirements or baby food). Please email [email protected] for further info. There are bars and lots of food options including VG, V, GF, DF and Halal. Allergen info is available here for all food traders.

• CHAIRS – Seats and chairs of any kind are not permitted into the festival. There will be plenty of seating inside the festival should you wish to rest during the day.  

• ALCOHOL – Please don’t bring any form of alcohol with you, any alcohol found will be confiscated at the gates. Drinking is not permitted in the queues.    

• DRUGS – As with anywhere else in the UK, the possession or supply of drugs is illegal at Tramlines. We work with our security teams and South Yorkshire Police to prevent drugs entering the event. All drugs are potentially dangerous; there are no harmless drugs. The only way to avoid risks is not to take drugs at all. This also goes for psychoactive substances (formerly known as ‘legal highs’).  

If at the point of search anyone is found to be in possession of drugs, legal highs, pyros or weapons, you will be refused entry and may be arrested. Please don’t ruin your Tramlines experience before it gets started. 

The following items are not permitted to be taken into Tramlines and will be disposed of at the point of entry:

• Illegal Substances / New Psychoactive substances / Nitrus Oxide and/or Whippets and affiliated equipment / Excessive Cigarettes 
• Glass / Aerosols / Gas Canisters / BBQs / Cable ties / Chains and Padlocks 
•  Pyrotechnics / Flares / Fireworks / Lasers / Laser pens / Smokebombs 
• Any items which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon / Sharp Objects / Knives 
• Food (unless for specific dietary requirements or baby food) / Alcohol (sealed water up to 500 ml is allowed) 
• Golf umbrellas / Flags with poles / Chairs / Camping equipment  
• Animals (with the exception of assistance dogs) 
• Large bags (no bags bigger than an A4 piece of paper) 
• Professional camera or video recording equipment (including SLRs and anything with a detachable lens) / Selfie Sticks / Drones or Unmanned Aerial vehicles 
• No Bikes / Skateboards / Scooters  
• No Megaphones / Sound Systems / Drums / Klaxons / Air Horns 
• Balaclava style masks / Hi Vis Jackets / Non-biodegradable glitter / Spray Cans 
• Any Goods for unauthorised trading / Any Goods with unauthorised Tramlines logos 

We work very closely with South Yorkshire Police, members of the security services and Counter Terrorism Policing to encourage live music fans to #BeSafeBeSound whilst ensuring our security procedures are up to date and we are following best practice.  

Stay alert and look out for each other. If you spot something that doesn’t feel right, trust your gut and report it to security staff straight away. Don’t leave it to someone else.

Ask for Angela 

Sometimes you can find yourself in a situation that isn’t safe or that makes you feel uncomfortable. If you can’t access help from our Welfare tent, our bars operate Ask for Angela, where you can discreetly ask for help from a member of staff if this happens.

Do not purchase tickets from any unofficial channel such as ticket touts operating outside the event and on social media, these tickets will NOT be valid and you will be refused entry.  

If you can no longer make the event, you can register your ticket to be sold with our official partner Tixel. Visit the Tramlines Tixel ticket page here. You can sign up to purchase an official resale ticket with our partner Tixel, who provide a safe and easy place for you to purchase a Tramlines ticket from an existing customer. 

Please protect your phones and belongings while at Tramlines. Phone thieves are known to target large-scale music events. Keep your phone in a safe place such as a front pocket. Avoid back pockets or handbags that are easy to enter and arrange a location to meet your friends if you do lose your phone.

Protect your phone by enabling a pin lock and write down all details including IMEI number and any tracker details (such as activating find my iPhone).

If you lose anything at the Festival, please visit the Customer Services tent, located near the Middlewood Road entrance, to log your details/lost item. Our team will be able to reunite you with your property if it has been handed in. Please note, found items will be kept for 2 weeks after the festival, following this all items that can be, will be given to local charities. Any lost phones not reunited at the end of the festival will be handed to South Yorkshire Police. Please be alert and always keep your belongings safe.
