The Open Arms Line-Up Revealed!

The Open Arms is back baby!

Packed to the rafters with live music, karaoke, poetry and 100% certified good times.

We’re very excited to announce the full 2022 Open Arms Line-up including the Speakers Corner takeover curated by Otis Mensah alongside a Friday takeover with SLAMBARZ and Hive South Yorkshire. Whilst Paces School’ Band and Under the Stars‘ bands will be opening the stage on Saturday and Sunday.

One of our favourite venues returns in 2022 to play host to favourites like Barrioke (ft. Shaun Williamson), ABBA Party, Club Tropicana and Sing it Back.

Speakers Corner will takeover the stage throughout the day and feature a huge range of emerging talent in the field of music, spoken word and poetry. Speakers Corner is curated by Otis Mensah, Sheffield’s former Poet Laureate. Friday afternoon will see Hive South Yorkshire’s, SLAMBARZ feature short sets of poetry and music from young up and coming performers from the region, Hive South Yorkshire is the hub for young writer activity in the South Yorkshire region and we’re partnering up to give young artists the chance to perform on a festival stage!

Otis has selected some excellent, challenging and thought provoking acts for the weekend including mellow vibes from AKA Kellz and deep lyricism from Simon A. The full line-up for Speakers Corner also includes, Maria Nkere, Reya Saint, Lucy DK, Rae De Soleil, Mouse Teeth, Arielle Cottingham, Treasure Bloom, Brandon Grey and Jah-Mir Early.

Charity music groups will perform at The Open Arms…

The Open Arms is a place for everyone and inclusion is at the heart of its ethos. Across the weekend there are two charity musical groups performing – Under the Stars, a disability arts charity based in Hillsborough, just minutes from the Tramlines site who have a long history of involvement with Tramlines. Paces a Sheffield charity and school for individuals with Cerebal Palsy and motor disorders will also be hosting a performance with their School Band.
