2012 saw a change up for Tramlines. We added a new stage hosted at Weston Park for family entertainment and took all programming in-house, we decided to move away from the pop element of bookings and looked to curate the line-up slightly differently.Â
Rolo Tomassi curated the alternative stage and our headliners included, We Are Scientists, Reverend and the Makers (of course) and Roots Manuver, who by the way is a big fan of Thornbridge’s Jaipur, so much so they managed to get their hands on a keg of it from a local pub to enjoy backstage.
Rev’s set on the Friday night at Dev Green hosted the Nokia light up wristband party, remember that? 2012 was also a personal Tramlines HQ fave, that Alt-J gig at The Bowery (!!!) Their debut album ‘An Awesome Wave’ got BIG, and it was a pretty unforgettable atmosphere.
