2011

2011 was a BIG year for Tramlines.

It saw an exponential growth in popularity. With around 175,000 party people in attendance, including just over 70 venues and four main stages, with at least 200 acts…daym.

We remained free and worked in collaboration with Hallam FM. Headliners and other acts included Ash, Olly Murs, Pixie Lott, The Futureheads, Heaven 17, Dananananaykroyd, David Rodigan, Dry The River, Michael Prophet, Frankie & The Heartstrings, Los Campesinos!, Rolo Tomassi, Dead Sons, Skint & Demoralised, The Crookes and Toddla T.

Some of our other faves were Ms Dynamite at The Octagon and local ledge Steve Edwards & The Big Fat Love with their set at Barkers Pool.

2011 saw our newest addition to the Tramlines family – The Folk Forest, with it’s home in Endcliffe Park. Co-hosted by Regather Co-Op, The Folk Forest had an alternative feel with international acts playing alongside some Sheffield favourites.

One of our highlights from 2011 was Sir David Rodigan’s set which was due to be hosted at The Bowery, with a capacity of around 100 and a queue of 100 plus, we couldn’t fit everyone in….

So, off we went to DQ, with hundreds of revellers following. Incredible set though ‘ey.
