2020 Charity Donation Update 🙌

Hello you lot,

We wanted to let you know how your donations from last year’s fundraising activities have helped the charities and projects we worked with last year.

In 2020 you supported Roundabout, Cavendish Cancer Care, S6 Food Bank, Disability Sheffield and iForge. Fundraising efforts included the Chari-Tees, an exclusive Tramlines x Thornbridge In The Park IPA, and the Big Fat Charity Raffle. Collectively you fundraised over £20,000, which means each of these charities received £4,000 each.

We got in touch with the five charities to get an update of how these vital funds have helped, it’s safe to say they are all very grateful.

This week we chatted with Roundabout, who provide shelter, support and life skills to young people in our home city.

Roundabout’s main funding focus over the past few months has been the Rapid Rehousing team. This service supports the most vulnerable of their young people who, having exhausted all other possibilities, find themselves on the street. The team works closely with them to build trust and to support them into safe accommodation. Roundabout’s long-term, wrap-around support addresses their mental and physical health needs; addictions; insecurities; and basic skills to support themselves independently.

Sadly, they’ve seen an increase in young rough sleepers during the pandemic, and so Roundabout have used the donation to recruit an additional key worker to help the charity support every young person who needs them.

The number of rough sleepers was already on the rise before the pandemic, so we expect Rapid Rehousing to continue to be one of our main priorities long-term.

Another exciting project is the refurbishment of one of our Group Living residential facilities. The Group Living facilities house some of the youngest and most vulnerable residents, including care leavers and unaccompanied minor asylum seekers, Roundabout said that “being able to refurbish a new property for them to stay in has been an incredibly rewarding project and has brought some much needed positivity to 2020/2021”

Roundabout also commented; “The amazing donation from Tramlines last year had a huge impact on both of the projects, we’d like to sincerely thank the whole Tramlines audience and team who got involved with the fundraising over the summer.”

There’s some pictures below of the newly refurbed Group Living facility and it’s residents enjoying Christmas, it definitely brings a big smile to our faces to see how your donations have supported these young people.

Love,

Tramlines HQ x
