Mike Hughes

Mike Hughes established his distinct brand of Apocalyptic Gospel Blues with his 2015 debut album ‘Black Gold’. Full of dark, pounding drums, soaring vocals and widescreen storytelling he received extensive air play across both BBC Radio6 Music and Radio 2. He has since been a special guest of Miles Kane on his national tour and played sold out shows in both London and his home town of Sheffield. His debut single ‘Temple Blues’ provided the ominous soundtrack for the 2015 film ‘Passenger’, while he also managed to release a new future classic christmas song in the form of ‘It’s Xmas Time (But I Don't Mind)’ in 2016.

Mike is currently in the studio recording his second album. Promising a 'bigger, brighter sound’ with the darkness of his debut making way for an ‘explosion of fuzzy power pop’. His Tramlines show will be one of his first showcasing his new album, set for a summer 2017 release
